Sounds jacked up after soundfont addition

• Apr 13, 2018 - 00:36

So a few weeks ago, I uploaded a complete score of Mercury from The Planets, edited for the best possible playback. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been editing and updating it to sound better. Yesterday though, I downloaded a new Strings soundfont to make the strings sound more realistic. I added it, fixed the sounds for each instrument in the mixer, played it in the program, and it sounded beautiful. So I updated it on the website. But when I played it on the website, all the strings were jacked up. Their sounds had been replaced with a piano, and I have no idea why. I checked the mixer in the program again to see if I messed it up by mistake, but it was fine. And the playback on the program sounds perfect, but the website version has the strings with a piano sound. If anyone knows what might be the cause of this, I would appreciate some help. Also here’s the link if you want to hear what I’m talking about.

If it sounds different than what you hear in the program, and it sounds different then either

MuseScore.com created the sounds
or
You checked the Include Score Audio box when you saved on line
or
You used the manage audio from the web page

If you did not use the 2nd or 3rd method, then MuseScore.com made the audio and it used its default sound font.

Yeah, I'm rather frustrated too since I had it sounding close what I wanted before the update and now I have to figure out how to get a similar sound all over again if that's even possible. .. like the bass synthesizer and then how to get a similar sound that I had using saw synthesizer with a bass lead sound that I used in musescore 2 now with the updated version 2.1... : ?
It'd be cool at least for the transition period to be able to upload and choose whether we want the default soundfont used in 2 or 2.1 online...
