Save file - Failed:permission denied.
I have saved multiple pieces to the same location in the same format. Suddenly, on trying to save a piece, I am getting "Failed:permission denied"
Also if I try to export, I get:
"Cannot write into /home/decahedron/snap/musescore/7/Documents/MuseScore2/Scores/Resonance.ogg"
Have reset default settings now, even though I hadn't changed anything, and it doesn't help.
Ubuntu 16.04 Musescore 2.2

Sounds like you have inadvertently disabled write permissions in your own home directory, or maybe you are logged in as a different user? What happens if you try saving to a different location?

Thank you Marc. Yes it saves to a different file. I have not messed with the permissions, so I don't know how that could have changed.

If it saves to a different location, then somehow your OS has become convinced this file is read-only. Maybe it was also open in another running application? In any case, you can probably deal with it from your OS's file manager, deleting or renaming the original versoon, then saving again.

One common cause for such permission problems: you ran MuseScore as a different user (did you ever
run MS with 'sudo'?).
