p.s. i just listened to it as a midi and it sounds correct. did the program screw up or something?

p.p.s. i updated the program and that seems have made it slightly better by a fraction but it's still hard to hear.

Could you attach here the score?
Try: Right click on a note, select all Similar Elements;
Open Inspector (F8) reset Velocity as default.
It's not quite clear what you are trying to do, but it sounds like maybe you opened a MIDI file that was not quantized in any way to make it work better as notation, and then are surprised it doesn't look good as notation, or that attempting to play back the converted notation doesn't sound like the original? Neither should be too surprising. There is no foolproof way to turn MIDI into notation any more than there is to turn a cake back into the ingredients that went into it. Best it can do is try to second-guess the notation that might have led to that performance.

odd. this is the only song i've ever had this issue with. ah well, ya can't win em all. thanks for the responses.
