Voltas
In the attached sample volta 1 plays on the second repeat before going on to volta 2.
I am probably being dense because I have another piece with a similar configuration that works OK.
Can you spot what I have done wrong please?

Ie, you must not edit the length of the volta by stretching it with the mouse, but with Shift + right arrow key.
With the mouse, you observe the anchor point remains in the first measure under the volta. Hence the problem with playback.
With Shift + arrow key, the anchorage moves to the next measures
Or, simplest in this case, by selecting the set of measures concerned (here 8), and double-clicking on the symbol of volta in the palette.

Thanks - please see my response to Suzanne below and take my gratitude equally.
I think that it is because you created it over the first measure only and stretched it to cover the remaining 7. I deleted your volta1, selected all 8 measures, then recreated the volta, and it seems fine.
