Player not visible, no playback available.

MuseScore 4.4.3

I have no player. When I reference the handbook all entries assume the player is in upper right portion. I have no player at all. I search for player not showing or player not visible but no entries and forum has no relevant posts (that I can find). I tried to download MuseScore again thinking this would solve the issue... I clicked on installing MuseHub since that seemed the preferred but there were elements that would not download. When I went to change their properties as indicated in the popup, I was not allowed to change the properties of the individual elements that would not install.

I am stumped...

Well, first, there is no part of MuseScore Studio named "player". Try searching for information about the "Play Panel".

Re-installing MuseScore usually does not help. Instead try Help / Revert to factory settings. In that upper right corner you should see this:

The yellow highlight is on the "Play Panel". What do you see there instead? I'm guessing that you may have undocked it and moved it off-screen. Any chance you had multiple monitors and now have only one? Whatever! The Revert should fix this.

If you decide to re-install, you'll need to uninstall completely, then search your computer's files/folders for anything with "musescore4" in the name. Delete all such files and folders. In addition, you'll probably need to search the registry and remove entries that refer to "musescore4". Once it's completely gone, install afresh from the Download / Software link at the top of this page. There are separate links to install with or without the MuseHub application. Some people prefer one; others, the other.
