Slurs and ties with moving stacked notes
Which would be the more appropriate way to notate slurred/tied stacked notes that are moving?

Having only some notes within a chord tied is technically possible but not really recommended, and when combined with slurs, I'd recommend against it. Better to use multiple voices, I think.
But FWIW, your top example looks like a typo and would cause me to have no earthly idea of what you wanted me, even on closer examination. Second example is ugly but clearer. But that's just my opinion.

What if I left out the slurs and just kept the ties?

That works for me, but still not quite as well as separate voices.

Thanks for the help!
