Adding font color to Staff Text, Fingering text, etc.
I have been enjoying using Musescore 2.2.1 and preparing transpositions of band Tuba parts to Double Bass. But I would like to add notes to my score for position and fingering, in a way that
a) is clearly visible,
b) is obviously not as important as other notation on the score (like fff, ff, p, pp, etc)
My hope is to be able to change the font name, font size and font color for the "Fingering" font by setting defaults. I have been able to do this with the Inspector, and can do it by editing the .mscx file, but changing the default setting would be most helpful.
At least, can we add a "color" option to the font properties mini-dialog at the bottom of the panel?

Rather than using the inspector, right click a fingering (assuming you are using the fingering palette) and change the Text Style... NOT Text properties and all fingerings will take on the style you have set. Be aware that inspectors settings will override these settings so you may need to reset them by pressing the arrow buttons on the right of any values you changed. You can change the color as a bonus.
Edit: forgive me, for some reason I put it in my brain you are using the inspector rather than the tool bar at the bottom of the screen. Those changes will probably override any changes you put into the Text Style also, so if you put these properties into the Style, future fingerings in this score will follow the style, and you can still use it to change the color.
One more thing... If you only need to change the color of the fingerings, then you can do that in the inspector if each one or all at once.

Thanks, when trying to follow your instructions, I saw that the Style -> Text dialog came up, and that I could choose "Fingering", whereupon I could change font, color, etc., just as you said. For my use, I will go right to the top-level menu for Style, then choose Text and customize whatever I need.
I see that I could also save that modification and re-use it on other scores.

You are correct about all that you said. There are several ways to do most things in MuseScore. I generally try to make it easier on the person asking a question by not giving too many options. You have discovered the versatility of MuseScore and one of the things I like about it.
