MuseScore Not Inserting Glissandi Properly
MuseScore is not inserting glissandi properly.
A glissando lasts for the duration value of the note from which it originates, this does NOT include the duration value of the note at which it terminates. The note from which the gliss emerges can include the duration value of a note which is tied across one or more barlines.
Currently, when trying to insert a gliss between notes x and y say:

This is preventing users from being able to make glisses properly.

Yes, that's a workaround conventional notation. One problem I've found is that MuseScore often changes the look of that formatting when other changes are made around.

Actually, as workarounds go, this is safer than most - the attachment point does change, so it should survive reformatting well.
As for what is expected / proper, I don't have my copy of Gould handy but will check it later. Meanwhile, do you have a reference for your recommended notation? When the subject has come up before, people have talked about various different ways they might want to notate it, but none struck me as very satisfactory.
