Can't change voice using stave properties.
My Musecore is exhibiting a curious property that I haven't come across before. I have set up a document with piano and two voice parts. However, because I don't like the voice sound, I have set the voice part with a piano sound. This works well except for the fact that about a third of the way through the piece, it reverts to the voice sound and I cannot change it back to piano. I use stave properties to change the instrument to piano but it still sounds like the voice. Has anyone come across this - or can suggest an answer? Thanks in advance.

You must have an instrument change text where the instrument changes. If you can't find it then attach the file here and someone will either fix it or figure out what's up with it.

Thanks very much Mike. I'm attaching the file as requested. The sound changes, for no reason, from piano to voice at Bar 17 (Musescore bar 17, not the 'Rehearsal' numbers. Thanks

And indeed the "56" there is not a rehearsal marks as probably intended, but an Instrument change text
Fixed in the attached (also changed the top staff to Voice, but with a Piano sound)

Thank you jojo. However, I don't understand what you have done. In the (unchanged) version, although the stave was set to piano, at bar 17 it suddenly changed to voice. The way I tried to change it back was to right click the stave, select Stave Properties and then change the instrument to voice. This had no effect. Am I doing something wrong?

That 56 in your score is an Instrument Change text, not a rehearsal mark. And it did change to Voice, check the mixer and you should see 3 entries.
