Modify an instrument style
Hi - I'm new to Musescore and have a question about instrument styles. I would like to write for mandolin. I am content with the sound of the acoustic guitar soundfont for playback, but I see that it automatically transposes by 8vb. Is there a way to modify the instrument style so that it plays as written?
I looked through the help files, but could not find anything about this. I'd be grateful for any help.

Check right-click into the staff, staff properties, transposition

Thanks - I also realized that I could double click the G clef sign in the panel at the left.

That doesn't change transpositioning though
Why not simply use the Mandolin instrument, though? It should already be setup correctly - regular treble clef, no transposition. Mybe you didn't find it yet? Just type Mandolin into the search box at the bottom of the Instruments dialog, or switch to "All" instruments using the dropdown list at top.
