2 bar repeat for Musescore 3?
Hi everyone I'm writing a cadence and I want certain parts to repeat for 2 bars is there any way to do that on musescore 3?

Not directly and only with dirty tricks (involving a 2nd invisible staff containing the notes for playback)
Same situation as in MuseScore 2.
See #10220: Add a two and four measure (multi-measure) repeat sign with playback and also #21649: [MusicXML] Repeat measure sign not exported or imported, which has a PR that implemended multi-measure repeats, still unmerged though

This didn't work for me. I'm on a Mac and there is no Measures menu item in the Edit menu!

December 9, 2018 was before the release of version 3. There were several changes to the menu when version 3 was released.
This is my single biggest complaint about musescore. It's really come along and it is really good program, but this issue ALWAYS comes up. I'd even sacrifice playback to get it. But the hack with join measures doesn't even work if only one part has repeated 4 measure figures. This comes up ALL the time in popular and jazz music.
So it isn't just two measure repeats, 4 measure repeats are also relevant.

If you don't need playback, it's quite easy in current versions of MuseScore. Just select the barline between the two measures where you want the repeat sign to appear, then add it from the Symbols palette (press "Z" to display it). A couple of quick clicks to center it over the barline and you're done.

Another dirty trick but change time sig to 8/4. Then follow that bar with a repeat symbol. Then revert to 4/4 again.

for me it then just gets removed, the repeat bar symbol
I just installed the latest beta version of Musescore and this 2 bar repeat functionality works great. Those instructions for doing it in v3 gave me a headache! I'm rolling with v4 beta now.

To be clear: we're nowhere near beta. The most recent builds are the ones labeled "nightly". The one labeled "beta" is actually ancient, guaranteed to cause problems, those scores probably won't even be able to be opened in the real 4.0.

Thanks, Marc. Definitely noted and I did find quite a few issues just in my time creating and exporting one chart yesterday. Great job - v4 looks awesome!
