Why should it?
Plain text (and markup) display right here and don't require to download stuff
And txt like you did in your other article is just fine, esp. for that lengthy crashlog

Why shouldn't it ?
When it comes to basic formatting rtf is well established. A webinterface that cannot display rtf I consider a broken interface.
