Can't open mixer window in v3.0
The Mixer window does not appear.
I can "check" it in the View Menu, i can press F10 but it doesn't appear.
I notice that the Master Palette Window appeared as just a sliver, almost entirely off the left side of my desktop with no drag bar visible.
I suspect the Mixer window is similarly placed off the visible Desktop but I have no way to grab it and move it back into view.
i have already tried "reset all settings"

Revert to factory settings might help

If revert to factory settings doesn't work Make sure the last thing that happened was the mixer was opened (using the view menu will do this). Press alt+spacebar, m, any arrow key then move the mouse and the title bar of the mixer will become attached to the pointer until you press ESC.

It has appeared now, but it is so tall it doesn't fit on my 1080p screen and i can't resize it any smaller.
Is there an option somewhere to make it scale-able?

No, you need to run MuseScore with the -D option so things will fit on the screen. The Style dialog is the biggest, so I would make sure that fits. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/command-line-options on how to use these on your system. I would start with about -D 100 and work from there until you find a good setting.

I was already running it with the -D option.
-D48 is what makes onscreen notation (at 100%) the same size as what comes out of the printer.

And just to try... I set -D to -D32 which makes all the icons on the GUI smaller but the Mixer window is still as over-tall as it was before.

Maybe someone has a better idea.

Excuse the intrusion, 3.0.1?

Yes, I am using 3.0.1.5087
Regarding the dockability, i can't dock my Mixer window in any circumstance.
Double clicking on the title bar doesn't re-dock it like that will do for the "Play" window.

To dock the window, drag it to one side and look for the docking area to appear.

As I noted, that works for other windows, it doesn't work for the Mixer panel.
Even when other panels are docked, the Mixer can't be added to them. It is permanently free floating.
And too tall.

See #281742: Mixer panel not always dockable/floatable, depending sometimes full screen enabled or not. , apparently there are conditions not fully understood where this can happen, but perhaps also a workaround.
