Project
- Start Musescore 3
- It shows the default new document for a few seconds (during which times buttons visually respond but don't work)
- It crashes
If I run Musescore through a .mscz it runs, but the playback is really strange and of the many parts in the score only the vibraphone is audible.
I'm running Musescore on Windows 10, and while I've noticed some playback issues this is stopping me from actually working on anything. I've restarted my computer but that didn't help either. I know it's not much information, but if someone else has the same problem maybe I'm not crazy.

I have this problem as well. I do not know how to fix it, I wish I did, but at least you know you aren't crazy now. It is very frustrating and before it started crashing on me I think it even deleted my most recent scores created originally on musescore 3.0.
Alright so I just went into my files and found Musescore 3.0 right and then I right clicked on it and chose restore previous versions. There was one option for me and i clicked it and all my scores i thought i lost were there. So the good news is it will still work and my scores aren't gone. However, as of right now, the only way I can access them is by going through settings that way every time. I hope that helps.

I have a student who has the exact same issue, you open the program and it shows the blank score for a couple of seconds before quitting. No error messages or similar appear. I've tried restoring to factory settings but to no avail. Any ideas?

Which OS? New score or existant score?
He's running Windows 10. Since it crashes straight away and I've defaulted his settings, it's new scores.
More probable the startcenter, try using the -w commandline option

-w on the command line appears to have worked, we've opened it a couple of times and it's not crashed. Thank you! :)
Now you can try to disable the Startcenter via Edit > Preferences > Common

What does the -w do?
It disables the startcenter. Actually disables the web part of the startcenter
That could be partly an OpenGL problem. If your graphics driver is up to date and the Start Center creates problems, you could try to use Mesa.

Ok, thanks, I changed the settings with disabled startcenter and blank musescore without prvious opened score.
Thanks!
Still having this problem on 3.6.2 version.
I've tried everythong, uninstall anr reinstall, the -F, -W solution, downloading the opengl32.dll and rename it to opengl32sw.dll, nothing worked. Can someone help me, please?

I was able to start it after -F, then -W, disable the starting page on preferences, but crashed instantly after some use. Now it just crashes few seconds after opening.
-w, not -W (the options are case sensitive)
