MuseScore 3.0.2 won't open/run
Long time MuseScore user, using version 0.9.6.3 on a Windows XP SP3 OS. Decided to try and upgrade to a newer version of MuseScore 3.0.2. Downloaded the installer file, which shows up in my folder as Musescore 3.0.1 32 bit installer. I execute this file, and the installation program terminates normally, with a MuseScore 3 icon on the desktop. When I try to run the program, however, I get the error message "C:\Program Files\MuseScore 3\bin\MuseScore3.exe is not a valid Win32 application" Any ideas?

BTW: The MuseScore3 file in the \bin\ file has a creation date of 01/20/2019 at 2:04 a.m. and a size of 21.3 MB (22,367,744 bytes).
Sorry to comment without helping but I get the same error. 2.3.2 had worked fine.
Having done a bit more research, it seems XP users still have no choice but to use 2.3.2. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

This is indeed the case. MuseScore 2.3.2 officially is the end of the road for Windows XP users
