The Quit option is missing from the File menu in the latest upgrade. I can, of course, quit using the system button at the upper right , but I don't think that's required in previous versions.

I see it on OS: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1), Arch.: i386, MuseScore version (32-bit): 3.0.3.5734, revision: 5a0be2a
Me too, in File > Quit (MuseScore 3.0.3 64bit, Windows 7). Are you on a Mac? What language setting?

I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit

I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit.
Language? Screenshot?
On my Windows 10 I see that File > Quit too, last entry.
Shortcut: Ctrl+Q
My last entry in the File menu is 'Print'.
Quit is (or should be) right below that.
But you still haven't answered my question for a) your language setting and b) a screenshot
Language is English. Screenshot below.
I can't reproduce it though, very strange

Which one of the English options? System, en_GB or en_US?
OK.
Language: System
Version: 3.0.3.5734

Anything else?
Have you tried resetting to factory settings?
I avoided this as long as I could because I was pretty sure I'd have to go back to the mixer and reassign my instruments. Anyway, I finally gave in and reset to factory. Success! This DID clear up the missing 'Quit' option. But now I'll have to go back to the mixer...
I'm glad you could solve your problem! This is still a very strange case, but as long as it's solved...
