In general/principle by using cross-staff notation, but in this case MuseScore doesn't (yet) support partial chords to be cross staff, see #14687: Split chord across staves in cross-staff notation

I have found a workaround here: https://musescore.org/en/node/8717
If you are having problems with the staves getting farther apart, then select the stem, uncheck Automatic placement, and then make the stem longer.

Thanks!
Can cross-staff notation be added as a feature to Musescore? It's quite common.

Cross-staff notation is supported. The problem is that it doesn't support a chord with connected stems cross-staff, and I think that's what you are referring to. You can't put only part of a chord cross staff, you have to use another method like voices.

You're right. Guess I have to use this workaround then: https://musescore.org/en/node/8717
