Downloading Older Versions of MuseScore

• May 7, 2019 - 22:16

Can anyone provide a download link to the last stable version of 2.0.1?

I realise this version has been outdated for quite a while, but there are 'legacy' issues involved here. We have just hired a new editor to produce keyboard realisations for a number of our older scores, all of which were produced using 2.0.1. To avoid compability conflicts when we add his work to our master files, he will need to run the same version we used to create them.

IIRC, he is running LINUX.

Thanks.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I've been out of the loop for a while (overwork plus some personal issues, including a recent, relatively major injury) but I'm not dead yet, as they say. ;o)

Your link sent me to a page which actually does show 2.0.1. The three choices available are .dmg, .msi, or .zip files. There's also an 'Unsupported' link, which opens a link to a 'portable' .paf.exe file. Do you have any idea which of those would run on a LINUX system?

Thanks.

My main worry is about any possible formatting incompatabilities between 2.0.1 and the later versions of 2.x. All our scores are manually adjusted for stretch and spacing, note-by-note and measure-by-by measure. This is the last thing we do before we export to 'locked' PDFs for printing. If a 2.0.1 score is opened and re-worked in 2.3.2, would those manual adjustments be thrown out or retained?

Thanks, Jojo! I'm going to send a link to this thread to my new editor so he can read it and evaluate what he needs to download. The main thing is that whatever version he uses to write the realised keyboard part, I need it to behave properly when he sends it back to me and I open it in 2.0.1.
