Subito
Quite often if I am transcribing a bit of music I get a dynamic like "pp subito" - sometimes abbreviated to "pp sub" (subito just means suddenly or immediately in Italian). Is this a feature in Musescore or if not, can it be added or is there a workaround?

Thank you
As for it working for playback, sometimes it does.
When you put in a crescendo or decrescendo, if you do not change the Velocity change in the hairpin, it will change the volume to the next dynamic (p, mf, ff...) it finds. In many cases, this is what you want. In the case of subito, you do not want the dynamic to gradually change to that volume, so you need to either put a dynamic after the hairpin and make it invisible or change the Velocity change. FYI, adding the subito text does not affect the dynamic, it's only an instruction a human understands.

Thank you
So there is no feature that I am missing but plenty of ways of working around it. Thanks to both of you.

You can save it to a custom palette (essentially creating your own 'feature').
