Often the bottom part of Musescore window is cut off. The palette search box and right pane tabs as well as the status bar are covered by the Windows taskbar. The problem occurs whether the Window taskbar is set to be always visible or not. The application doesn't size the window properly. I am not sure how it occurs, but often I have to resize the window to access the rest of the right pane. In the image, I have the mixer, inspector and palettes all docked to the right pane.

I don't see it in OS: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1), Arch.: i386, MuseScore version (32-bit): 3.1.0., revision: 0581c95 Are you seeing this only with specific scores?
Windows 10, I see it occasionally, but I don't know how to make it happen on demand. I don't lock my task bar either.

Same here. It occasionally occurs whether or not I have the Windows taskbar visibly locked. I don't know what causes it. I'll report back if I determine a trigger.

I think it has something to do with the mixer panel? Just now when I activated the mixer, which is docked in the right panel, the bottom of the window was cut off. It could have been coincidental, as activating the mixer again after resizing the window did not cut off the bottom.
You are correct. I couldn't get the status bar to disappear. I just opened the mixer and the status bar vanished. Perhaps this is related somehow to #289773: Mixer changes width of inspector when undocked.

What's really odd though is, I'll be working away on the score, without doing anything with the panels (mixer, palettes, etc), and then notice that the bottom window is cut off. It happens every few minutes. It's a shy bug. I have only caught it once by activating the mixer. There seems be other triggers for it.
I'm inclined to leave this as active since we know one way to duplicate the bug. If we find other ways, we can then decide if they're related to the mixer or a different bug.
Fix typo in issue title.
Well this is strange. I downloaded the final 3.1 release and opening the mixer doesn't cause the status bar to disappear. Does that mean it was mysteriously fixed?
I changed the status back to needs info until we see the problem in 3.1 and a way to reproduce the problem.

The PR that made the mixer dockable was reverted: #289773: Mixer changes width of inspector when undocked.
Maybe that fixed it? I'll report back in a couple days after testing the official 3.1 release. (Until there is a new PR to make the mixer dockable again, one can use the shortcut F10 key for quick access to the mixer.)
You mean #289773: Mixer changes width of inspector when undocked. got fixed by reverting the PR for #287528: Side panels not dockable after being undocked and closed once
So far no problem with the official MS 3.1 in this regard.
