Notes with a three(3) above
I just bought some old note sheets and one is this march. It has a start up part and some of the notes have a number three(3) above them, see attached image.
Anybody know how to deal with it?
Regards
Samuel

Triplets even, and with disabled brackets

a triplet is like a 8th note. I had some in a big solo recently, and when I had them I just said tri pl et in my head. It really helps

Well, no, a triplet can be any duration type, not just 8th. And even if notated as an 8th it is not the same real playback duration
