Edit instrument name
How can I make my own instrument name to appear at the beginning of the stave? The piece I am setting calls for something that's not available in the stock selection.

First you might be surprised about which instruments are available. Below the list of instruments you can add is a search box. Type part of the instrument name in the box and see if your instrument is there. If not, you can right click the staff of an existing instrument in your score, choose staff/part properties and change the long and/or short instrument names.

Thanks Mike. Very quick and helpful. Can you help me with something else? How can I bracket four out of my 5 staves. I have a top line which is a solo line, then SATB choral lines which need to be separated from the solo.
