Tied Note across to 2nd time bar
How does one create a tie to a 2nd time bar?
In the example I need to tie the A semi-breve to the A crotchet in the second time bar...as it is in the 1st time bar.

strictly followed the book's explanation of
Solution 3: Use invisible courtesy notes however, I was unsuccessful playback.

Since a piano note has a fairly quick decay, you can untick 'Play' (in the Inspector) for the notes under the second volta.

Yes, but in the example provided in the manual (attached) this procedure is normal in the "F8" inspector the option is "touching" and it worked perfectly. In my case I did the same and it doesn't work!
