The download page mentions that the free version has "no limitations" but Musescore PRO adds extra features. Can I also mention that the mixing tools to i.e. make it play solo are only in the PRO version, which is kind of restrictive.

There is no Pro version of the MuseScore program for Windows, macOS and Linux, not for musescore.org website, this is all free and fully featured without restrictions, but there is a pro version of the MuseScore apps for Android and iOS and the musescore.com website.

I'm confused about the differences between musescore.com and .org. Just like wordpress.com and .org.

I just explained it here and it is explaning in the link above too.
On top: ".org" is the top level domain for non-profit ORGanizations, ".com" the toplevel domain for COMercial sites. Same concept for wordpress.
