Shortcut for fingering guitar | shortcut list

In the shortcut list we already find the item "fingering" (fingering piano/violin etc. = above the note).

I suggest to add the item "fingering guitar". Guitar fingerings are placed commonly at the left side of the note.
It would be very helpful to have a shortcut to add guitar fingerings. (i.e.: alt + shift + f).

The only difference between those types of fingering in the palette is the default fingering style they get, but they are the same element otherwise.
Meaning, there is no distinction to be made between them from an input point of view.

Possible workflows:
A1. Add your fingerings as default fingerings
A2. Right-click one → Select → All similar elements
A3. In the inspector change the fingering style to LH Guitar Fingering

B1. Add a single guitar fingering from the palette
B2. Double click it into edit mode
B3. Start typing in all other fingerings for the score, they will inherit the style of the fingering you started with.

I tried to change the default setting of "fingering" in the text styles. But unfortunately the program doesn't allow to place the number directly at the left side of the note. i.e. I can't move it downward along the y-axis.

Of course the program can do it. But you have to choose the second series of numbers, special guitar (see photo above), in the palette (and therefore not the first series)

Maybe I didn't explain the problem properly. I know that using the guitar fingerings I can place the number directly at the left side of the note. What I tried is to change the style settings of the numbers in the first row (normal fingering). I can't move those numbers at the guitar fingering's place with the text style settings.

I'm sorry, then I don't understand your question. Why do you want to change the style settings of the first series to "look" like (maybe that's what I don't understand) the second series?
Change the style settings, that is? What exactly are you trying to achieve (with an example of these style settings)?

If you have to add a lot of guitar fingerings (left hand) it becomes quite laborious to pick them all from the palette. A shortcut would be quite helpful. In the present version of MuseScore a shortcut can only be defined for the fingering (first row). Since I mainly use guitar fingerings I tried to change the style settings of the fingerings (first row) in order to have them in the place of guitar fingerings. But this doesn't work...

If you have already entered the fingering numbers from the first row, you don't have to move them to the guitar fingering's place.

Do as jeetee mentions:
1. Right-click one → Select → All similar elements
2. In the inspector change the fingering style to LH Guitar Fingering

Well, there is a new fingering mode, sort of, since the 3.1 (more or less, I don't recall exactly) which works nice.

So, select a note -> double-click (one click will be enough with the 3.4 ) on a LH fingering -> Double-click it for Edit mode -> Use Space bar to navigate and enter what you want (numbers or letters) with the keyboard
