Import pdf including chord symbols
It would be great when importing sheet music that includes chord symbols such as F , Gm7 etc. that
these could be imported as well as the notes on the staves.

First they'd need to get imported as Chord Symbols rather than Staff Text (if at all)
Then we'd need the chord symbols playback project from last GSoC merged

Thanks for the rapid response.
I only meant the chord symbols themselves, since very often in a band the chord symbols are
shown above the notes of the instrument with the chorus or the Bass part.
An option could be added on the Import pdf to say interpret "text" "above" or "mid" stave as chord symbols?

Best to ask the author of Audiveris, see https://github.com/Audiveris/audiveris, as that is the software behind MuseScore's PDF import

Thanks. I followed your link to github. It seems others have effectively made the same request and
that gradual progress is being made with chord name extraction from pdf files.
One suggestion being user assistance during the scan process to help identify the relevant text fields.
I shall keep a watch on this.
