Save score as a jpeg
Is it possible to save a score as a jpeg? I use musescore at church for Sunday bulletins, converting scores to Microsoft Publisher documents. I have to print out and scan them to my computer as jpegs. Would be so convenient to just be able to save them as jpegs.

No, but PNG is possible, see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/file-format#View-and-print-(Export-only)

Try Menu → Edit → Preferences... → Export → Screenshot mode
Hmm, maybe not...
In 2.0 Beta 1 there is a Foto mode, there you can switch transparent mode on/off, see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/foto-mode

There is a checkbox, in the "Preferences" panel, that allows you to make exported PNG's trasparent or not.
The screenshot is from MuseScore 2.3.2 (italian version), but it should suffice for your needs.

On my Mac I could not export Musescore to jpeg directly but have done so via PNG

Save as JPEG indeed is not supported by MuseScore, just PNG. A corresponding PR of mine got rejected, see https://musescore.org/en/node/177466 for a discussion
Thank you! I've learned something new. Have not used that format before - works great!

FWIW, PNG is almost always the better format for "graphics" like sheet music; JPEG is the better format for "photographs". They use different compression strategieis, make different tradeoffs, etc.
