Adding notes to treble and basslines simultaneously
Hi...Does anyone know of a way to add notes to the treble and basslines simultaneously using a midi keyboard?
If I press C1 and C7 at the same time currently the result is what is shown in the image below. I would like for the C1 note to be on the treble staff and the C7 to be on the bassline.

Not possible with MuseScore, it enters the notes to the staff you are entering them to, not to the one you think them to belong to
If the only logic you wish to use when dividing the notes between staves is their pitch; then enter them all on the first staff. Once your done entering your notes, right-click the staff (Ctrl-click when on Mac) and select the
Split staff...option.Then use the

Hmm, haven't found "split staff' being mentioned in the manual, except for MIDI import, which is not relevant here

The handbook is a community project, anyone can update it with missing information as they see fit. I encourage you to just try it out ;-)
