Break Multimeasure Rests in a Part
In one of my scores, there are two caesuras near the beginning with no rehearsal markings. In each of the parts, the instruments that are not playing during this time (most of them) simply have the total number of rests displayed in the multimeasure rest. I would like that longer rest to be broken up so that the caesuras are visible in each part. I've tried adjusting the measure settings so that the measures themselves break the rest, but then the caesuras still don't show and it only applies to one part (I have 29 instruments, so doing that for each individual part would be time-consuming and not worth it for an imperfect solution). Does anyone know how I would make the caesura itself break the rest? I think I've seen it done before, but I can't remember how to do it.
Thank you.

Right click on this measure->measure properties... and activating "break multimasure rest"? If this doesn't work, attache the actual score instead of the picture.

I tried that, thanks, but I want the actual symbol to break the rest. Otherwise, the caesura still doesn't appear.

You'll need to not only break the rest here, but actually exclude it from the rest. Maybe others have a better suggestion, but one way is to set the "break multimeasure" for both this and the next measure.
