I tried to open up a song for a friend today (I've recently deleted MusesScore 2.0, keeping 3.0, now 3.3), but when I opened Musescore I received a window that said that it wouldn't open because Apple couldn't verify if it was contaminated with malicious software. I'd like to get back to composing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Chip

see #300830: MuseScore 3.4.2 on macOS 10.15 (Catalina) "can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software"
Thanks for the fix! Right-click on app. icon in Finder and choose Open. The rest is self-explanatory! Again, many thanks!

Jojo, can you put that in the FAQ with Mac-specific wording? I've memorized "96811", but not 300830...
There used to be an FAQ entry fir this Catalina notarization issue, but that got removed for some reason.
Anyway, it'd be of limited use, as nobody is reading those anyhow ;-)
But there you go: https://musescore.org/en/faq#faq-302904
