MuseScore3.app installation can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software error message.

Just got a new iMac computer running Catalina and when I try to open MuseScore I get error message"MuseScore3.app can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software...contact developer...

I was told by support that "Catalina requires all apps that are signed with developer IDs to be 'notarized' by Apple".

When will this be fixed? Thank you.

I just saw the reply copied and pasted below. Seems like a new software version will fix it.

Malicious software warning on macOS 10.15 (Catalina)
This happens due to the new software notarization requirements Apple introduced with macOS 10.15 (Catalina). It got solved in the latest development builds and will be fixed in MuseScore 3.5, until then see #300830: MuseScore 3.4.2 on macOS 10.15 (Catalina) "can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software", esp. the workaround:
Access it from the Finder, in /Applications. Click right on it. When it asks you if you really want to, click "open".

The workaround suggested above/below just worked for me. Not sure why since my issue was it would not install. But I see in applications. It's working anyway.

Access it from the Finder, in /Applications. Click right on it. When it asks you if you really want to, click "open".
