Repeats
So in the score I am making, the theme uses a start and end repeat. After I add the end repeat, it jumps to a new line. Does anyone know how to prevent MuseScore from jumping to a new line after adding an end repeat?

Yes; I did. Perhaps a picture of what I am trying to accomplish will further elaborate on this topic.
The end repeat barline is thicker than a normal barline, so needs more space, hence the entire layout gets strechet enough for it to require to go into the next line.
So what you need is wider paper, narrower page borders, lest streched measures or a smaller overall size setting, like by reducing Format > Page Settings... > Scaling > Staff space
