MIDI Actions
Can anybody please explain how to use MIDI Actions? For example, if I open the properties for a piece of staff text, I am greeted with a tab that says "MIDI Actions" at the bottom of that tab is a unpopulated list of "Actions for Selected Channel".
There is a similar (but visually slightly different) unpopulated list of MIDI Actions when I open the properties of an articulation, such as staccato. On a slur, on the other hand, there is no such option.
This all seems very inconsistent, and I can't find any documentation for "MIDI Actions" or what needs to be done to populate the list with options.
I assume that this function allows certain text, articulations, and other objects to trigger a midi event of some kind (perhaps a CC or note output?)
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I believe those are currently (and since long, maybe even ever since) unused.

That's disappointing. I feel that this incomplete feature has loads of potential. Would it be appropriate for me to write up an issue in the issue tracker with a low priority?
