Lost Scores
I have lost several scores. I decided to clear the "recent files" because I thought it was getting crowded, but now I've lost several new scores I was working on and my computer doesn't appear to have them, even though I saved them.
Any help? I spent a lot of time working on them and would hate to lose them.

"recent scores" is just a convenience deleting that does not delete scores, these just stay where they are. MuseScore doesn't have any means to delete scores, only your operating system has, like Explorer for Windows or Finder for macOS

I mean the "Open Recent" function. If I cleared that list, where would the scores go?

They just remain where they were before, at the same place on your hard disk
