As with version 3.4.2, the instruments start dropping out as they reach measure 6. I'm using Musescore's built-in soundfont. Soundfonts that you would find off the internet are frankly not good at all compared to the Musescore one. I'm aware that you can use a different piano instrument, but this is not really a solution. The Grand Piano must work properly.

So happens with 3.4 and is not fixed with 3.5

Correct.
Seems likely to be the same issue as #288664: Ottava 8va on a piano, if prolonged stutters in default soundfont (General) of MuseScore 3. I have had to use another soundfont. but I can't prove it. I think I remember a more recent report also, maybe on the forum, took a while to work out that the ottava was the trigger the problem. Seems we might have figured out a little more too. But my memory is fuzzy.
Relates to #305424: [EPIC] MuseScore General (HQ) Soundfont issues
