Note durration
I'm new to Musescore and I was trying to go through and see how everything worked. I left clicked on the slur button that was next to the note duration selections and from there clicked on the note input button. That apparently got rid of the note duration selections, the slur button, and that whole section of options. I don't know how to fix this, I've tried going to note and clicking on those options but nothing has worked. Please help.

Hallo, welcome to the forum.
If I have understood well you have lost the toolbar for note entry. You can get it back by right click on another toolbar, the menu bar or the title of the inspector (shortcut F8).
Also, FWIW, the button on the toolbar that looks kind of like a slur is actually a tie. The slurs are in the Lines palettes on the left side of the screen.
