what is the back arrow command for Ipad pro

When I am in a song in Musescore song, normally I tap the left hand corner and the return arrow appears allowing me to go back to the index.

Sometimes no matter where I tap i cannot get the back arrow to appear. The only fix I have found is to restart the ipad.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Is this a bug? Is there a fix?

You need to press the center of the screen to toggle the top and bottom toolbars. The active area should be about half of the screen width centered vertically.
