Volumelevel to high when playing the uploaded MuseScore-files.
Dearest -
I SO love Musecore,
but find it so difficult to warn everyone who wants to listen
to my upploaded Sheet Music,
that the volume is to high.
Is there a possibillity to lower ALL the files`volume a bit?
It is so much nicer to rather deside ourself that we need more volume -
than get a shock everytime the listeners wants to play my scores.
The problem seems to start - when the files are uploaded.
I believe this must be a problem for several..
not just me?
Anyway - greetings from a happy amateur!
Marianne Ervum.

Hi Marianne, make sure you are using the latest MuseScore 2.0.3 version to make your scores as indeed the default volume has increased in this release. On MuseScore.com, we use 2.0.3 to process your score files. You can download 2.0.3 via https://musescore.org/en/2.0.3

Is there a uppdated version with the same name??

Ok. Next question then: could you tell us which platform you are on? Windows, Mac OS X, ...?
And could you link to a score you have the volume issues with?

Windows 10is my platform. :-)

@Marianne Ervum, launch MuseScore;
Open Synthesizer, adjust volume and save as default.
See: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/soundfont#synthesizer
(congratulations for the music you share)

The problem is not here - it starts after uploading into MuseScores space.
I do not have that problem when I listen to the scores before upploading them.
And thanks. :-)

Hello Marc, I'm slow but in the meantime I had prepared the answer, here it is:
@Marianne, I did not encounter the problem on my PC unless to change the system mixer volume:
Try to open a score, turn down the volume in the Synthesizer and 'Save to score';
On MuseScore.com use the 'edit' button to replace the score and see if the changes are effective.
The volume at which scores sound when played back on msuescore.com will depend on your particular browser, your particular oeprating system settings, and your particular speakers etc. Just because something sounds loud on your particular system - because your browser is set to play things loud, I guess - don't assume it will be that way for everyone. Scores from musescore.com played using your web brower on your computer are no louder than any other music also played using the same browser on that same computer. So there should should be no warning needed - scores will play back exactly at the same volume people will be accustomed to on their individual systems. People whose speakers and OS/browser settings are turned up loud will hear it loud; people whose speakers and OS/browser settings are turned down quieter will hear it quieter.

See my response at https://musescore.org/en/node/108986#comment-491041. The volume of the playback on musescore.com depends entirely on your browser, your browser settings, your OS, the volume level you have set for your browser in your OS, the overall volume you have set, etc. Playback of scores using your browser is exactly the same as playback of any other aduio using your browser. If it's too loud on your system, you will need to turn down the volume in your browser settings. But other people will have their volume set differently.

I cant really get it, sorry, I am slow. Is Opera my problem then..?
And why is it that EVERY other - thing I listen to, through the same browser (Opera) is not a problem. Just - and only - my uploaded MuseScorefiles.
Have to find some sleep now, back tomorrow! Thanks for not giving up on me. :-)
Even though I`m learning a bit slow..
:-)
Good night!

Np, Opera is not your problem - one of the volume level settings on your system is. Either the volume level within Opera, or the volume level your OS is applying to Opera (chances are there is a system mixer that allows you to control the relative volume of different programs within the OS), or the overall OS volume level, or the volume level of the speakers themselves. No song can possibly play louder than the levels that are set for software and hardware that is playing that song - it;s jus plain phsyically impossible. If a song sounds louder than you want, then some volume level somewhere on your system is turned up too high - it really is as simple as that. If other songs you play using Opera sound quieter, then maybe they were recorded unusually quietly, but any song recorded "normally" will be just as loud.
For instance, when I listen to your score, then switch to an online radio station - or really, an random song, like say this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRxofEmo3HA - they sound about the same in volume.

Buongiorno Marianne, the information given by Marc should solve the problem. But you can do the experiment to change (decrease a lot) the MuseScore Volume on your PC.
I think you know how to do, but I have prepared a 'step by step', Regards.
