MS4 Playback not working on Linux (solved)

Background:
I use Linux (Ubuntu) as my operating system and installed the Musescore4-AppImage version.

Issue:
In the past I had a few times problems with the playback function on Musescore 4. And the notation itself didn't work either, I had no sound when I tried to enter a note into the composition.

Solution:
After a lot of research on several Linux forums, I finally found the solution: Due to a system update pulseaudio didn't work properly anymore. I reinstalled pulseaudio ( https://askubuntu.com/questions/426648/how-to-reinstall-pulseaudio-ubun… ) and now everything works just fine.
I posted this just in case another Linux user has the same problem.
