Part Extraction of one voice from a score
I have two voices in flute and trombone parts in my score, and now that I am trying to extract parts, I cannot figure out how to extract only one of the voices for Flute and Trombone 1, and the other voice for Flute and Trombone 2. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so how to do it? Many thanks!

Currently, this cannot be done directly. See https://musescore.org/en/node/107781 for a discussion of related issues, workarounds, and possible ways something might be implemented in the future.
FWIW, I prefer to have separate staves for the parts in my score rather than combine them - keeps things simpler. But if I needed to do this, I'd just have *three* such staves - one for eacfh part, and one for the combined part. I'd mark the first two of these invisible in the score, but I'd generate parts for them. I would have the third visible in the score but *not* generate a part for it.

Great. Thanks so much for the quick reply.
The score is for an orchestration class, and we were instructed to have the parts in the same staff for each instrument, or else I would have had them separate, because I prefer that as well. Thanks for your workaround of making the three staves; I think I'll give that a try.

Hmmm. I wonder if it is possible to have a single entry appear on 2 staves? For example, enter the 2/4 voices on one stave, but automatically have 2/4 other staves, each dedicated to only one of the voices.
This idea is somewhat related to the implode/explode conversation here: https://musescore.org/en/node/107781
I confess I have no idea just how difficult this would be.

Sort of a semi-linked staff
