Volume instruction doesn't carry over bar line in playback
Possibly a small bug, or have I done something wrong?
In this screenshot I applied the "ppp" by selecting one of the notes in the RH chord and double-clicking "ppp" in the Dynamics menu. Same for LH. I moved the RH one to sit better but did not move its wiring.
When the score plays back, the chord before the bar line is indeed very quiet, but the two chords after the bar line are much louder. Shouldn't they continue ppp?
To hear the playback, the (w.i.p.) score is here https://musescore.com/user/72156/scores/2088966
I'm using 2.0.3 3c7a69d

the default span for a dynamic is part, i.e. both staves of a piano, all 3 for organ, so one ppp should be enough.

Thank you for replying - I have tried removing one of the "ppp" indications and the problem remains unchanged.

Yes, that wasn't meant to explain the Problem, just an FYI.
The problem seems to be the bottom hair ping reaching one note to far

OK yes removing the lower hairpin fixes the issue - thanks.
I don't understand how that hairpin reached to the end of the bar - I added it by selecting the LH minim then double-clicking the Dim hairpin in the Lines menu. Shouldn't that make it take effect over the duration of the selected note?

hairpins on single notes don't Play back currently. A GSoC project to fix that is in the works ;-)
Hairpins BTW too by default span the entire instrument

My guess is you accidental selected the whole measure, or at least got the rest included the selection somehow. Or, if there was a dotted half on another staff, trying to range selecting the half on this staff might have actually selected three beats depending on how you did the selection (eg, if you actually seelcted both staves).
