Hiding grand staves in movements?
Hi there -
I'm currently making an arrangement for organ and two pianos of a multi-movement work. There are some movements where one of the three instruments does not play - I tried using the "hide empty staves" feature, but then I found that this splits up the grand staves. I ended up with the organ disappearing while it rested, then re-entering with only the left hand and pedal staves, as well as similar issues with the pianos. Is there a way to hide an entire instrument only for certain sections of a piece?

Welcome on board. Could you attach your score here? Or a part of it?
Try by 'Instruments' to add a Stave
You can enter invisible notes into staves to prevent them from being considered empty.
A future version of MuseScore will include an option to hide a staff only if all staves of the associated instrument are empty.

Thanks for your help! I'm looking forward to that update.
I would advise to create one mscz file per movement.
