Notation Questions

First, how might I create a ghost note? (see "ghost notes" in //web.mit.edu/merolish/Public/drums.pdf )

Second, how might I create slashes on a stem, as seen in "rolls" in the same document?

Any ideas?

Ghostnote (parentheses around the notehead)

1. Add a normal note.
2. Select the notehead.
3. Go to the Advanced Workspace and the Noteheads palette. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/palette
4. Double click on the parentheses symbols
5. Your note should now have parentheses/brackets around the notehead.

Rolls: The Tremolo palette has the stem slashes you want.
