Abrupt tempo change in .wav file
I have a short file - about 20-30 measures of an orchestral score. The instruments in use in this file are Alto Flute, Basses (singers - really I only want one Bass, but I don;t know how to get that - I am only getting a chorus of bass voices - that's another question I have), first and second violins, violas, cellos.
At the start I created Tempo text and for tempo properties associated with that Tempo text I set the tempo to a quarter note = 72 and the marking to Adagio (the default tempo for Adagio provided in Musescore).
About 8 measures into the file the alto flute is playing a melody in eighth notes. This lasts for several measures. At one point the tempo suddenly slows down. The flute notes are not being played back at the same rate.
This occurs both in real time playbacl and also when I create the .wav file and play the .wav file.
Any suggestions of how to debug and fix this would be greatly appreciated.
I am runing up against a deadline to get this piece done, so the problem in this segment (which is part of a larger orchestra piece) is currently a big time problem.
Thank you very much for any suggestions / ideas.
You are all wonderful. I am almost finished with an orchestra piece of more than 20 minutes composed using your software.

Can you provide the file for investigation ? There could be a empty tempo text.
I too would guess you have an empty tempo text element somewhere. If you're handy with such things, you could try saving in MSCX format rather than MSCZ, then opening the file in a text editor and having a poke around. it's conceivable you might find it and be able to delete it that way.
As for getting a single voice rather than a choir, that's kind of a matter of what SoundFont you have installed. The one included with MuseScore doesn't have a ton of different vocal samples - just the ones called for in the General MIDI specification (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_MIDI). But you might be able to find a different SoundFont online - one that isn't strictly General MIDI - that has the set of instruments you want and also includes more vocal samples.
