Some suggestions to the new edition/version
Hi Gang!!!
I have some suggestions to the new MuseScore edition:
1) MuseScore should let us to use the left menu panels (and any other menu option) when it is playing an score. Today we can use only a few options when it is playing an score. It is intended to be able to edit the score, any note, etc., directly, when it is being played.
2) MuseScore should have the capability to playback all notes, at all staves, into an specific point below the current cursor. I mean: MuseScore should have a grey area, below the cursor, which shades all the notes of this area, and let us to hear (to play) all those notes, when we want to hear only those notes. And all those notes should sound (as a permanent, endless, sound) until we click [Stop] with the mouse. Of course, this capability should include the "travel" option (we should be able to "travel" on all the score, in any direction, any distance).
3) MuseScore Mixer should have a surround audio output option. I mean: to be able to put an instrument, or group of instrument, into any hardware audio output channels. Let's say, if we have 5.1 surround audio system, we should be able to positioning the instrument, or group of instruments, into the: left front, center, right front, left surround, right surround and LFE audio output channels. It should include the capability to save it into standard *.wav surround audio format files (MP3 doesn't have this feature).
4) MuseScore should have something like the standard Optical Character Recognition (OCR) but, of course, thought to translate musical scores (as visual graphic bitmaps).
5) MuseScore should have an internal Metronome, a real Metronome sound, absolutely independent of the soundfonts used by the MuseScore synthesizer. Even more, this Metronome should be a real time clock, which commands the real playback tempo.
6) Related with the point number 5, MuseScore should have a graphical window panel where we can change the real playback tempo (it is intended to get "rit." and "acc." in a more easy way than today).
Well, just a little request from a mad, but very happy musician, very proud to be a user of MuseScore (every hour, everyday, every week, every month... always!!!).
Greetings & Blessings from Chile!!!!!!!
