weird dynamics behaviour after font resize

hello,
I create a simple staff and I set p for the first note of the first measure. when I resize the dynamic's font to 10, the dynamic disappears.
another issue is that I set ppp for the first note of the first measure. when I resize the ppp font to 10, the dynamic is still there. then I save and close the program. when I restart, the ppp dynamic appears displaced, to the the top of the document, where the header text should appear.

one final issue which might be relevant to the topic is that I cannot delete the first dynamic when it is f(orte) (regardless font change).

I am using ubuntu 11.10 with mscore 1.1. anyone else encountered this behaviour?
