Don't follow playheadon playback
Is there a way to stop Musescore following the playhead while the score is playing? I want to be able to move around the score while listening to it, is there a way to do this? At the moment whenever I move the score it snap back to where the playhead is and it gets very frustrating.

#10481: Move score around during playback without following note
Might be slightly different though from the linked issue - what's listed here could be asking (?) for playback of the score without the screen following the note (an option?).

This feature is present in version 2 (nightly builds).

Are there currently any linux builds of the nightly? I am having trouble building it from source.

According to the download page, It appears not. What issues are you having?

Similar, but I don't want it to snap back to the playhead when I let get, I want free reign of where I am looking while it is playing.

This new feature does allow complete movement of the score. However, if you click on a note/measure, the playback will jump to that point. It does look promising.
