Shaped Notes
Does Musescore have an option to change the notes to shaped notes for new scores and scores that are already posted? If so, how?

I tried this download and it came through as a zip file. It will not open...unless I'm doing something wrong.
It says there is no app to open the file and refers me to the app store.

Ok, I am so sorry. I know this is not a forum for teaching computer basics, but is there any way you could walk me through using a plugin? I've never done this before and I have no idea what the picture is that you sent.

I got as far as opening the file that was on my computer from the download in musescore. I tried the "run" button as prompted, but it keeps popping up the same question of 7 note, 4 note, and normal notes every time I hit run.

Hard to explain for those who do not speak English :)
to extract a *.zip file:
Right click on the file-> eg. 7zip->extract here;
It has generated a corresponding folder, drag or copy it to the destination folder.

Maybe reading the manual helps ;-)
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins
From the handbook:
...the score is converted in 4 shape notes notation or 7 shape notes notation or back to common western notation.
You choose 4,7, or normal (to convert back).
