Overlapping Pedal
It would be nice if there was an item in the line palette for overlapping pedal. I figured out how to manipulate the "Line" item in order to make it look like an overlapping pedal, but an option specifically for that would make the notation much quicker and easier.

Pedal changes is what I think you are talking about, and I would love to have that.

Can you post a picture of what you mean?

I assume they are talking about this:

The normal usage is a vertical hook at the beginning of where the pedal first goes down, vertical hook when the pedal comes completely up, but the "carat" hook anywhere in between where there is only a "quick change". I believe there is support for something like this in the trunk, but I don't know how you'd do it in 1.1.

Yes, that is exactly what I was talking about. I apologize for the confusion caused by my vernacular; I wasn't sure what else to call it.

Thanks for trying, but that's not what I'm talking about. look at the link in Marc Sabatella's post; that's what I want it to look like.
And this is what I came up with to make it look correct:

How did you create the overlapping pedal marks?

In 2.0 (release candidate imminent!), there are on the Lines palette - just add the line ending with an angle bracket to one note, extend it as necessary with shift+left/right, then add the line beginning with the angle bracket to the next note.
