[Help Salvage?] Musescore: Load Error: Cannot Read File.
Error message shows exactly what is in the Subject and the address of the file itself when I attempt to load it. I've already prowled the forums for awhile and figured out how to find both the named and unnamed backup files, but both are lacking a massive portion of the score.
I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I could at least try to see if someone can manage to salvage this file in some way that I can't. I've spent a fair amount of time on this piece, and it is in my own opinion the best I have made yet.
Can someone please help?

Unfortunately it seems to not be a valid archive file. You could try a ZIP repair utility, but I think you are wise to not get your hopes up. Was this created with 2.0.3? there were known issues with earlier versions that could in rare cases create files like this is a problem occured right in the middle of saving, but as far as I know, those bugs were fixed already for 2.0.3.

No, I created the file in 1.(something) and had only updated Musescore after the file had corrupted. Thank you for taking a look at it anyway, I'll try a ZIP repair.

And now my issue is that I cannot find a legitimate way to repair a ZIP folder.
I happen to be having the same problem, this is a movement of a suite to be submitted to a competition. I have found the backup file, but too much of the score is gone. Does anyone have any ideas on how to salvage this? Thanks!

Without looking at the file (I'm aware, from my computer) I'm pretty sure it is beyond repair, it is way to small for a valid score

OK, Thanks!
